Companies are ditching junior engineers en masse. They'll tell you it's because AI writes better code. They’re right...but also missing the point.

    AI is the junior dev. Software is gonna get weird when the seniors retire and there aren’t many juniors to be seniors. One benefit, the juniors who managed to get experience will be able to charge a shit ton as the senior market does up.
