The difference is this goes beyond SEO shenanigans and exposes how easy it is for bad actors to manipulate the ‘facts’ regurgitated by the most commonly used AI assistants.
Even with the (tiny) warnings onscreen, there are millions of people out there who now ask AI for answers to everything, and take whatever it spits out as gospel because it always answers authoritatively and rarely gives sources.
