The example does not allow for zipcodes from other countries, but pretends to allow multiple countries.
Yeah. I just tried it with a Canadian zip code, and it wouldn’t even let me type in the full 6 characters.
Once again an American thinking his country’s the navel of the world.
The example provided is USA centric but eminently repeatable in other countries and makes a ton of sense. Some parts of the world you can get to the right side of the street between 10 and 20 XYZ street with the code.
I entered 83250 as my zip code.
Now am I in MacCammon, Idaho, United States ; or in la Londe-Les-Maures, Var, France ?
You cannot know from this information alone. So no, you cannot guess the country from the zip code.
We have 6 characters and I have seen 7. And Australia has 4. This post is like “World Series” that only exists in USA
