  • While I agree, the cult has fractured a few times. It’s the irritating part of Trump that he’s just smart enough to back off when he knows he’s losing his cult.

The vaccine thing is one of them. Early on there was a speech where he’s talking about how good it was, and that he has it and that his people should have it. His crowd booed him. That moment he went full anti-vax in his rhetoric. Trump is in the lead and pouring gasoline on the fire, but he doesn’t have control over his own cult if it goes a way he doesn’t want it to go. Unfortunately he’s just smart enough to keep them happy knowing they’ll tear him apart if he steps in their way.

  • Oh boy, Joe Rogan is just the newest flavor of awful. Bill O’Rielly started the whole current entertainment news by being a comedian who suddenly started being a right wing mouthpiece and any time he got called out on his shit it was “For entertainment purposes only” and he was on about the anti-left wing movements about coastal elites and unions taking workers wages.

But then the right wing even to then was building to massive corporations that donated to them, groups like the biggest anti-union propaganda machine in the world, WalMart. Notice that during the Reagan era they had “Trickle Down Economics” to fool people into thinking if the wealthy were just wealthier, then they too could be wealthier.

And the wars between groups have been speared on by the US since post civil war. Can’t have former slaves having jobs, that’d take from the whites. Can’t have people from overseas taking railroad jobs, that takes jobs from Americans. The big slaveowners of the American South were not the majority, so why did so many people fight for that confederacy? Because they were convinced by those wealthy that if slavery went away, there would go the economy… especially as so many people’s jobs were in existence to the slavery machine.

Joe Rogan wasn’t some new bogeyman who figured out how to overthrow the world. The rich has been finding ways to make poor people fight each other instead of them as a tale as old as time.

  • Where does that get you? Does writing them off instead of reaching out to them make the world better?

I’ll tell you where working with them, trying to understand them, trying to help them see how the different parties have direct affect on their lives has gotten me. I’ve got to have the ability to talk republican because I work in blue collar jobs, yet I’ve tried so very hard to show how it directly affects their lives and being compassionate.

It’s gotten me them proudly coming in and crowing they voted Republican, keeping to their sports teams, and the people who hate the republicans telling me “I just really don’t care about politics.”

So where does me writing them off get me? Finally understanding I CANNOT get to them, and my life has been a process of teaching a pig to sing. It wastes my time and annoys the pig.
