The only real way it could work is if everything was turned over to computers. And we’re not there yet.

1·1 month agoA big issue is, IT is a very broad field with many parts extremely niche and disconnected from each other.
It’s like saying “work in science” that could mean anything.
I’ve met more than a few programmers that were above average, but could barely turn on their computer.
I’ve had many discussions with friends, saying I should work on servers or desktops when my IT experience is in medical databases and interfaces (HL7)…

2·1 month agoYeah there does feel to be a Subaru community. Not as strong as Jeeps. But definitely, one of the stronger ones between car drivers.
Cool fact many modern “Amish” use their religion/appearance just to sell you shit at expensive prices.
They don’t actually follow the Amish teachings any more. It’s about 90% loopholes and excuses for why they can use modern things. I.E. they are perfect modern capitalists.
