Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, I’m a sucker for SRPGs. But Golden Sun is up there for sure.

I don’t think this ever happend to me. I started on the GBA and to this day every single RPG I played on there holds up - might be specific to the genre. I never played much else.
Just looking on youtube, you can find binaural beats for pretty much anything: inflammation cure, pain relief, changing your eye colour, finding love and becoming rich. All the ones I’ve looked at feature comments from people claiming they’ve helped them.
They can’t possibly do all of the above and I don’t think there a studies proving anything but a placebo effect.
And, without truly believing in them, they never had any effect on me. I’ve tried them in my youth.
My cat always does this, can someone explain why?
In absolute numbers, yes, but surely something has to be deadlier (# of deaths / # of apperances). That would actually be a fun thing to figure out.
Back on reddit, I mostly interacted with communities relating to JRPGs. There are some communities over here, but at most they post some trailers every now and then. There are also some more focussd communities about Dragon Quest, Xenoblade or SMT - all of them practically dead. I don’t think there is an instance.
I could go over to a programming related one, the german instance or even one of the vegan instances for secondary ‘interests’, but those aren’t things I often find myself posting about online to be honest. They seem to be mostly about memes anyways.
From what I’ve seen he only gets up tight about food not being prepared traditionally. And like, I don’t care. As long as I like the taste, I don’t care whether or not it’s accurate.
Half my favorite foods are versions that would probably be considered war crimes in their country of origin - at least by snobs.
Unfortunately, there is no instance matching my interests. There are a number of communities across different instances, but it seems like several people tried to make their own, didn’t interact with each other and all of them are long dead.
Once I find such an instance, I’ll switch over. I’ve been meaning to leave .world anyways.
While I do agree with the problems identified, I can’t help but think they also made forums a lot better. Due to the lower discoverability and higher effort to actually join communities felt more personal. You interacted with smaller groups and came to know specific people. I still have friends from back then.
On larger platforms, I never had that. Even lemmy, which is small in comparison has enough people that I barely even think about specific users. Let alone speak with them on a personal level.
A rectoscope. It goes up your arse to examine it from the inside.
If you cannot trust in a randomly selected group of people making good decisions, can you trust in any kind of democracy? I, for one, prefer ‘dumb’ people being directly involved instead of having a lying contest every so often to see which actively evil person can get the most ‘dumb’ people behind him.
Politicians. Don’t get me wrong, we do need them, but I strongly oppose the existance of people who never did anything else.
I believe we’d be better off with a new set of randomly chosen citizen every so often. Kinda like jury duty.
I’m glad people are finally coming around to this. There is still fun to be had in Skyrim, but it released around the same time as Dark Souls, Witcher 2, Risen 2 and Fable 3 among others. Not all of them are better games, however Skyrim most certainly isn’t the best one.
Sometimes I like to dip the underside of the spoon and just lick that. Works well for any kind of soup that’s been made with an immersion blender, probably works in this case too. (Although, I initially started doing it because the soup was too hot. That’s likely not gonna happen here.)
I would be seen as downright evil if I do that.
Being downright evil is the secret ingredient to becoming rich. It doesn’t work for everyone, but all the richest people are evil.
It is a sound financial advice, but also a morally terrible one. It’s your call which of these is more important to you.
For all I care nazis could be hunted for sport. The problem is, neither I nor other people should decide who ‘deserves’ violence and who doesn’t. I’m not holding it against anyone to punch nazis, but I’d only do it to defend myself or others.

Just in time for the Rust debate to kill its momentum development wise! (/s, likely)
You might want to know that FF Tactics and FF Tactics Advance are different games entirely, unlike FF V and FF V Advance for example. They couldn’t even keep a consistent naming scheme for ports/new games within the FF franchise.
Now, depending on who you ask, only one of these two is good. I firmly believe FF Tactics Advance is the better game, most ofher people will sing the praise of FF Tactics.
Having played both, just between you and me: FF Tactics has so much jank, I couldn’t finish it despite FF Tactics Advance remaining in my Top 10 since release. It has an awesome story, but there are just so many battles you simply have to restart over and over because the NPC you should be protecting dies before you get a single turn in. And don’t even get me started on the two occasions you get prompted to save your game inbetween two missions - soft-locking your game if you cannot win the second one.
And, SRPG fans are firmly separated by perma-death. Some think the genre needs it and FF Tactics has it. Others, including me, dislike perma-death and FF Tactics Advance doesn’t have it (with few exceptions).
