Pragmatism is cashing in on the Mamdani moment and not squandering the intense hatred of the establishment that voters feel by failing to run the best known populist champion of the working class in the country who isn’t 80 years old
Bad analysis. People didn’t vote for women who represented the capitalist status quo fucking them over.

3·1 month agoThere is no Nobel prize in economics; the award you’re referring to was created long after Nobel’s death and has been “awarded” to many reactionaries including Milton Friedman. If someone criticized the idea that the social responsibility of corporations is to maximize profit and someone else responded by pointing to Friedman’s fake award, it would have about as much merit.
