1 month agoI get what you’re saying and agree, but patriotism doesn’t inherently lead to xenophobia. It can coexist with openness, respect for diversity, and global cooperation.
Patriotism is defined as love for one’s country, a sense of pride in its culture, values, and history, and a desire to contribute to its well-being. In its positive form, patriotism encourages civic responsibility, unity, and respect for a nation’s traditions without hostility toward others.
Of course in some cases it can lead to ultra-nationalism, but it doesn’t have to.
It does rust.
And you have to wash the car every time it rains? No thanks.
Left untreated, rust can form pitting and become extremely difficult to impossible to restore.
