My parents used to buy Imperial Leather when I was a kid, I used shower gels for a while, but eventually came back to it. It cheap, lathers well, cleans well, isn’t overly perfumed. No yeah this was something I picked up during my group project in final year of my engineering degree, but also a quick google shows it holds true still. The first page of results has a lot of random sites that say the same thing. You should typically only discharge to 20% where possible, also it doesn’t matter if you charge to 100%, 90% is fine, you should be aiming for as few cycles as possible so if your phone does 1.5 or 2 days between 90/100 and 20 then you should try and let it do that if you can. Over time the degeneration due to normal use will eventually be such that the discharge rate will likely increase to land on charging every night.

The USA was already making money from both sides of the war in Europe. That was mostly the reason they didn’t enter it until Japan bombed them because Japan didn’t like having their fuel supplies cut off by the USA because the USA thought the USA should be the only ones to expand an empire into the Pacific. Following that they wanted support for their retaliation to Japan’s retaliation to their retaliation to Japan’s expansion into the Pacific so they picked a side in Europe (probably the side who owed them the most money) and entered the war against the Nazis.

I don’t really care if there’s daylight savings or not, like you say, it’s a nothingburger. But it’s not the opposite of expending effort, someone wasted their time drafting a bill and then presenting it to the house which is time they could have spent effecting useful change. Congress only meets for so long each year … I guess it’s better they spend time on this than passing some of the other nonsense being proposed in the US though.
