Out of all the bullshit claims that AI companies make, a better search experience is one of the major selling points. I bet half the reason it feels better as a search tool is that it hasn’t been enshittified by SEO like traditional search has.

This was legitimately fascinating. It’s crazy that Bloomberg reported on the same issue and didn’t find anything. Their reporters are terrible at their jobs or were prevented from doing them properly. Either way Bloomberg looks inept or corrupt.
Most of the stories involving the three laws of robotics are about how those rules are insufficient.
They show self preservation because we trained them on human data and human data includes the assumption of self preservation.

Any executive either has to drink the kool aid and love their company or deal with the cognitive dissonance of the company’s actions. It’s just human nature.

If we got rid of IP law now, without changing anything else in society, it would massively reduce the ability to earn a living from creative work, making humanity that much duller.
I agree in the long run IP law sucks, but there’s so much in our society that needs to be fixed before killing IP law could do more good than harm.
Breed matters so much less than how you treat them. That’s all I was trying to say.
