  • Well I think you still have some time. With Liz Lemons ear, it took three days before I could get her to a vet, then another few days for it to come back after being drained, then another maybe 4-5 days before it reverted to a folded state. So hopefully it’s just a little time. Because I definitely get it, her ear was definitely bothering her too. I think it’s just that weird swollen feeling as opposed to pain. I asked my vet and they said it doesn’t cause any pain, it’s strictly aesthetic and surgery could fix it but it’s not bothering her. So again, best of luck! Hope to see an update post where you are showing off their new look and they’re happy and unbothered!

  • Hey my cat got a hematoma in her ear! They drained it once, told me it was likely to swell up again, which it did, but then it just kinda wrinkled and folded in, not swelling up again. It’s all cosmetic, is what my vet told me. Now she just has a little more character. I hope your cats ear goes through a similar trajectory, because after the initial scare and drain, it seemed to mostly just solve itself.

  • I think it totally depends on your cat. If my cat were more of a loner/not glued to my hip, I think I would’ve gotten her another cat to hang with. But she and I are really bonded and I feel like it’s hurt her feelings if I got her another cat. I’ve brought home a few fosters or had visitors and she’s never been thrilled. She’s also partially paralyzed after a stroke and has incontinence issues. I don’t think I could handle another cat myself.

All depends on your situation. Sounds like you might be feeling like it’s something missing from your cats life if you’re thinking about it.
