Just because you had the chance to avoid it (or so you think at least) doesn’t mean it’s okay in any way, and society for for everyone is being durably impacted by all this fir the worst, demonstrably so. So yes, we’ll keep complaining and denouncing it, sorry for your terrible inconvenience

Ah yes, the famously human and ethical devs of f2p games, so ethical in fact that some were found in violation of the law in several countries due to their horrendous monetisation schemes, abusing neurological biases to exploit vulnerable individuals, and being all around predatory…
Yeah actually I can weigh in, I worked in a dairy farm for a summer, and besides I have a bachelor’s degree and a Masters in animal biology and ecology.
Dairy production is at best questionable, most often barbaric. Cows undergo forced impregnation as soon as they are of age, go through pregnancy (a stressful situation for most mammals), have their baby almost immediately taken away from them so that all their milk is available for farming, and are again impregnated as soon as production starts to dry up. The cycle goes on until the cow’s body can’t take it anymore, then it’s killed.
Some farms, especially smaller ones, are more humane, with the newborns able to stay with the mother, and a more delicate milking procedure, sometimes even keeping the older cows in the fields instead of sending them to the slaughter, but it’s VERY rare.
And to be precise, I am neither vegan nor even vegetarian, but I am definitely politically opiniated against the agricultural industry as a whole, and meat industry first and foremost

Fuck right off this community with your stupid bigoted shit

actually we do both, and they are both necessary. Reforming or revolutionizing the system is the root of it all, and in the meanwhile, calling out and demonizing people consciously using the most wasteful and unethical tools available is also good and important. People that keep using these generative AI tools while aware of their impacts deserve being made fun of and cast out of a society which they clearly don’t care much about
