There are lots of hate on bambu lab cause they are trying to lock the ecosystem on their platform. A few people that are way smarter than me came out, like Jeff Geerling and maker muse, to respond to bambu lab’s update of no offline mode, I think. After the hate they backtrack. I don’t know if bambulab is still trying but they will get the hate from the maker/tinkerer if they try to prevent them to tinker on their paid printer.

You can try AliExpress for the battery but you will probably be better with securing the laptop, battery pack and wire together onto a bigger plywood/cardboard so it’s like a splint on a broken arm. If one moves the whole setup moves.it won’t be pretty but it’s cheap. Like what Mathias Wendell does with his semi-permanent electronics setup.

Bambu slicer needed windows Silverlight or something to sign in which never worked on my old laptop. The run around is save my slice, upload through a browser and use bambu handy mobile app to start the print. If they make it more unbearable I might need to go back to LAN connection.
