Federation fixes most of it. I can follow the big community that’s become the main one and still the smaller ones with their own focuses and views.

Bandcamp really is the best option (until they inevitably enshittify.

TuneCore and CD Baby are popular distributors for independant publishing to streaming but I don’t think they’re the best.

Edit: Bandcamp is by and large the better option if being on major streamers (Spotify, apple music, deezer, tidal, etc. isn’t important.
