Avatar is a lemming in bed because this account wasn’t intended to be used except for creating communities… and then my instance announced it was closing.
Usually just remember stuff. I’m terrible at taking notes - I either forget to take any paper/pen or I don’t know what’s important and don’t make any notes.
If I get an action item I’ll write it down or stick it somewhere on my work phone. It probably won’t make much sense so I’ll need to remember what it was about anyway - it just serves as a reminder that I need to do something.
At my first job somebody showed me a system that I needed to use, step by step, for a task that I needed to do to cover them the next week. I took no notes (didn’t even occur to me), she was surprised that I took no notes, but I remembered it all and did the task.
I’m not sure my memory is quite good enough to trust these days, but back then it worked fine.
Bookwyrm if you want something Fediverse.
Storygraph I think is the other popular one (I’ve not used it)
Makes sense. Amazon won’t know who your regular postie is.
26°C would likely give me a headache.
I try to keep the house at around 20°C, and if I’m chilly put a jumper on.
Yes, I heard/saw/read that this is exactly what Amazon do, some years back now. They know who you are, what stage of life you are at, and they know what you want before you do.
“I’ll get you!” “Just you wait!”
That’s because it’s not a rabbit. The comic is called Roonie the Rabbit but not all of them have Roonie in them.
Secret panel…
I know there are other casual-usage words for big categories of critters
And that’s the only word you need, right there.
Yeah the main instance is Chinese, there are English ones but not many. It’s still new.

Forg missing vibes o’ clock 😿
The church is from 14th century. There are a couple of iron age hill forts (no building). I think most of the regular buildings are 19th century onwards.
I don’t think automatic crossposting is a good idea. However some way to “boost” Mastodon posts onto Lemmy would be good. Mbin has a way of boosting but can’t assign a magazine. Something like that may work though. Mastodon can already boost Lemmy posts.
Upvoted for NetSurf. I wrote the Amiga frontend for it, and as such it’s my favourite browser on that platform (OS4 anyway - the OS3 build is very unstable)
That sucks 🙁
Yep, it’s a PITA to parse and get the values you want. Much prefer JSON. Recently when I needed to parse XML I ran it through an XML to JSON library. Much easier!
If you need to parse XML just for RSS though, it isn’t so bad as there are RSS specific libraries which take most of the pain away.
Mind blown.
