I’m more worried about chat bots editing the actual Wikipedia
Digit is Digit. I love her. I knew her online from wallstreetbets and she disappeared while going through some shit. I keep needing proof she’s safe.
To anyone I’ve ever treated unfairly, I apologize.

I heard a Tor dev talking about fully removing javascript this year or last year, still waiting for them to actually do that. Can’t think of any other user experience changes we urgently need updates for

Really sad that humans are collectively too dumb to ban driverless cars from anywhere I’m aware of.
Like, aren’t there 0 states that have banned this stuff? 0 states that say a driver has to be in control & accountable at all times?
It suggests we have poor chances of surviving climate change, if there’s not even a portion of us that can handle something this simple.

“Browser that’s anti-web” sounds based but “ChatGPT” does not

We still need a better nostr video app than plebs.app (or a better version of it)
Could be fluid dynamics but that’s already water. Maybe they should be hydraulics and pneumatics or something

We’re also working on another new GitHub thing over at nostr, but with P2P seeding instead of relying on centralized git servers like GitHub. “Project Zymogen”

Seems like conflating correlation with causation.
Cultism is super common these days, people join cults to fit in, you get less social interaction if you’re not in one.
It’s not that social interaction and cult logic are inherently linked, it’s just a time we’re living through.

I’ve never learned to code because when I try to pick a language to learn, I find I hate every language. I hear Python is an interpreted language, so it should be less efficient than compiled languages, but today I learned PieFed is coded in Python, which made me wonder how it can be efficient enough for that.
Now, the same day, I hear there’s leadership in the Python community strong enough to basically turn down bribes? I’m intrigued.
Not worth it for phones right now since they have to use proprietary hardware to connect to LTE/5G networks and the older networks are available in less and less of the world.
You’d do all the work of replacing all the system components you can, only to be left with a totally incomplete job due to that widespread LTE/5G adoption.
Better to focus on what’s needed at a given time. Like, with “sideloading” (choosing your own apps) being banned from Google-certified versions of Android, we really need all our phone manufacturers to make non-Google-certified versions of all the Android phones, even if they still use Android.
