I ended up on Readeck as well, very sleek interface, perfect for sharing articles via public links, self-hosting it was very easy to set up.

Meh every generation has its quirks. My college class in 2000 spent 1 whole week going over the Windows Start menu…

And you’ll be needing that medicine to be able to cope.
Anyone liking this new format?
It seems to me I was more engaged and found more new cool stuff before the layout overhaul. Could just be me, or could be some slow weeks in the self-hosting world, hard to tell.
Same. I’m hoping for the teacher shortage to increase, I might make the switch if the barriers come down. I’d love to teach children to code, I have fond memories of my IT teacher back in the day. His lessons on TurboPascal taught me a lot.

4·1 year agoIf the term collective group is referencing the exploiters, then those are the cause of the issues. These cannot be solved without altering the economic system, which is a direct - and in their eyes violent - attack on the exploiters.
I agree with being careful stigmatizing groups or people, but that does not count for exploiters. They are the heinous villains of this world. They deserve no compassion.
Yes! In the same vein: construct a gravity bong, or make roll some special joints, like a windmill.

467·1 year agoGreat pick by @realDonaldTrump . 10 years ago, Republicans were the party of big business and Dems stood for the little guys, but today the tables have completely turned. People forget that the current antitrust actions against Big Tech were started under the first Trump admin.

2·1 year agoNot a bad idea! I usually let my money do the talking, and just move if a company doesn’t offer what I need. But I might make an exception in this case, thanks for the tip!
