They keep saying poor conditions as though this is some kind of outlier. But, honestly, the conditions they’re describing are basically standard. Not saying that’s good, but, broken heads, shitty food, terrible sleep… that’s life on carrier.
The only thing it makes it remotely bearable is that it’s broken up every month or so with a couple days in port getting absolutely wrecked.
What makes this USS Lincoln situation special is that it’s been going for 250 days straight… that’s over 8 months… most deployments don’t even last long, and they’re hitting ports along the way.
Fun fact? If a ship can’t make port for 45 days, the captain is supposed to throw a “beer day”… basically a steel picnic… basically a BBQ day on the flight deck for a couple hours (for the day crew)… during “beer day” sailors are entitlted to TWO whole beers (that are non-alcoholic). And I bet you the Lincolnd isn’t even doing that…
so yea, 8 months straight, 7 days a week, 12 hour days, no days off would have me putting on a chain vest and jumping deck too.

Schumer has invested thousands of tax dollars into specialized stationary meant for writing very serious, very harshly worded letters. If Trump keeps breaking the laws again for the
35426th,35427th,35428th… 35429th time he’s gonna write a whole cover letter too.
