Because actual good quality rice tastes good. Thai jasmine rice for example is fluffy, moist, and fragrant. Then there’s all sorts of ways of elevating it like fried rice, sticky rice, etc. In Asia, rice is not just a side dish, it’s a main component of a meal.
Probably because no one has decided to eat it yet.
Spam or sardines are great with egg and fried rice too.
This happened to us, somewhat. We basically found the house ourselves and the process was streamlined enough that the agent barely needed to do anything except schedule dates like inspection, closing, etc. I know they are supposed to protect the buyer and make sure nothing fishy happens, and I’m sure they were doing that in the background (nothing bad happened overall), but boy was it one of the easiest commissions they probably got.
I was thinking of getting a keypad, but I’ll definitely have a manual deadbolt along with it because I’m paranoid of it failing, so I’ll likely still be locked out either way.
Edit: I realized a deadbolt has to be locked from the outside, so maybe I won’t be locked out in that case.
Last night, when I was waiting in the car for my wife and we realized after she got in that her bag, where the house keys were, was still inside. She thought I had the bag with me in the car. Had to call a 24/7 locksmith because it was late in the evening.
Choosing a favorite is hard and it changes a lot for me. This time I’ll choose Porcupine Tree and recommend their album In Absentia.
My electric bill last month was $14.62. That’s with a $64.51 solar credit. But then I pay a $50 lease on the solar panels. I don’t understand how my utility charges with tiers so I’ll put the details here for people who know better than me:
Tier 1 first 300 kWh at $0.04088 per kWh
Tier 2 next 260 kWh at $0.04643 per kWh
Regulatory Charges 560 kWh at $0.01374 per kWh
Power Supply Adjustment 560 kWh at $0.04598 per kWh
Power Supply Administrative Adjustment 560 kWh at $0.00724 per kWh
Information Security is so hard to explain to old people who don’t know much about technology. My grandparents back then (late 2000s) never understood it no matter how I explained it, and they thought I was a security guard at the bank I worked at. You could also see the disappointment in their faces thinking how someone who took IT in college ended up as a security guard.
I fucking knew it. Didn’t look at the community the post is in and halfway down I realized he’d be down there somewhere.
Lestat being a rockstar and fronting his own band.
If the major social media companies still exist by then, I think it will still be the same as it is now. Maybe a bit more users, but still a minority in the space.
MAPPA has some great ones. Chainsaw Man was great.
There’s a live thread at !news@lemmy.world.
Just switching to lemmy from reddit significantly cut down my screentime, especially with how small lemmy is right now where I can browse most of my subcriptions’ content for the day within a total of 2 hours. Nowadays, lemmy is what I do when I have downtime, not the other way around where I don’t have downtime because I’m constantly scrolling.
If lemmy is still eating up a ton of time in your day, then yes deleting your mobile apps will definitely help.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Glad I held back from suggesting Firefish for my wife. I’ve been slowly trying to convince her to jump to the fediverse for microblogging and figured to have her try Firefish simply because it’s prettier than Mastodon. Guess it’s back to ol’ Mastodon.
Plan? Just do it.
My condolences to the people who have to install it to write an article about it.
