Pitch that mfer from 20 feet away and you’ll put it clean through a tempered glass window. It’s something about how the ceramic interacts with the glass, I don’t know all the details. It damn sure works though, you really just need a little piece.
Please do not perceive me.

I literally cannot count the number of times I’ve had to dick around with Windows’ command line to make something work. Not to mention registry editing.
Greater than 90% of all Linux software I’ve ever installed has also been as simple as “just install the thing and click Run”. Building a project from source is different, I still struggle with that (anybody want to help me build Ardour?) but that’s a fairly rare necessity, at least for me.

Obviously Peter would never be compelled to military service, so it’s fine if everyone else is.

I think Sseth might have ruined this game’s player base, lmao
(I say this originally being a Ssethtider myself, the irony is not lost on me lol)

I think I can probably count the number of rounds I’ve played that didn’t devolve into a Cargonia Secession War on one hand.
Literally the only time I clearly remember those guys being team players is when we were under attack by wizards.

At the very least, fascism, pandemics and gambling are nothing new.

It’s not.
You have an account on a server (instance). That server has an administrator. I have an account on a different server, which has a different administrator. We can speak to each other in the middle from these two separate servers, via federation protocols.
The administrator(s) on your server are loud and proud authoritarians and frequently silence any discussion of general resistance, among other topics that they don’t like. This is not a personal failure on your part; there’s not much way to know about it except to be told or to inspect the mod logs yourself. Now that you’ve been told, though, you have the opportunity to move to a server that actually respects your right to speak on the internet.
Or you may elect to stay on LW and be banned or censored without warning, and be lightly associated with auth-left idiots for anyone who knows what the LW admins are like. That is a choice that can be made.
If you are going to make a move, I’ll warn you that .ml is known for similar. Just about most anywhere else is hosted by sane people, frequently as independent projects, even more frequently as a direct response to LW and ML’s dumbfuckery.

This sounds like a Dracula Flow bit lmao
“We out here shootin’ tardigrades. Smokin’ on that baby-back, third-degree, JB Weld, mega-millions Zaza. Shot a rope on the spacewalk and that bitch encircled the entire planet. This shit ain’t nothing to me, man. I’m twelve million years old, I left a brick on the moon back in the BC era. Don’t fuck with me.”
Unironically, yes. The brain is really weird about a lot of shit. It’s not that difficult to make it believe something if you’re committed.
I got involved in this around a decade ago learning a bunch of “brain hacking” stuff. Can confirm, it is real. Can’t say it’s something I’d recommend to the average person, though. It’s a fast track to some major instability if you aren’t used to playing around with your own thought processes in detail.
No kidding, this cat looks like it could bench press a German Shepherd

I read Dresden Files for the first time within the last 18 months and I’ve been relentlessly shilling it to everyone ever since. I’ve been a bookworm my entire life and it’s probably my favorite series I’ve ever read, ever. It fucking slaps, it’s SO good.

Take your upvote and get the fuck off my forums

I don’t feel valued because I bring no value to anyone in my life. Internet strangers asking questions do not count into that lol
Well, sure it does. That’s the reason we’re all here, isn’t it? Maybe not for you in particular, but for the Lemmy community. Internet strangers asking questions that you then answer and spark discussion is kind of THE value that any of us bring to this place. People asking questions and having discussions and sharing their own perspectives and life experiences is like, 80% of the whole internet. It’s what brought us into the global awareness that we have today.

I ran Lich path on my first run of WOTR and it might be my favorite CRPG experience I’ve ever played. You’re evil, but you’re lawful evil, and the game gives you the opportunity to lean more lawful which I did. Excellent example of being smart evil instead of stupid evil which is exactly how I think a proper lich should be portrayed.

I believe it, it can have a much higher nicotine concentration if you want it to and vape juice is tasty.
The one saving grace of cigarettes are that they taste like garbage so it’s harder to get proper addicted to them. But a good vape will taste like candy even to a non smoker, so you can get drunk with your buddy one night and take a couple rips off of his watermelon flavored vape and exit that night with an intense craving for more, ask me how I know.
Don’t you know switching to your sidearm is always faster than reloading?
We call this the New York Reload and strapping down with like six pistols is a legitimate tactic.

Sure. This comment thread is about class mobility in the West though.
But, fact is, it seems it’s the same everywhere.

Throughout pretty much all of human history it’s been apparent that the “nobles” class has been, at best, more trouble than they’re worth; and at worst, the instigating spark that creates a nation-destroying blaze.
It should come as no surprise to anyone who has read a history book that the American nobleman is equally as useless and destructive as his counterpart anywhere else.
Guns? Actually just throwing rocks at high speed.
Nuclear bomb? Throwing a special, spicy rock.
It really is just rock chucking all the way down, projectile combat completely broke the meta
