I’m in a McDonald’s about twice a year usually because it’s the only option on a longer road trip.

Most of them have at most 1 cashier ( sometimes 0) and have the stand up tablet kiosks for ordering.

The drive through was primarily handled by a person with a head set who was also sometimes doing other things but I know a lot of fast food chains were farming that task out to call centers in cheaper locals, not sure about McD’s since I have not been through I drive through in a long long time.

In an ideal world it would free up Worker to better focus on their tasks.

I mean it makes total sense the minute you think about it at all.

• some middle managers year end goals include this unpalatable feature
• they release it
• public freaks out
• pr walks it back a bit
• that managers back at work the week after trying to get that feature in because they need to justify the work they just did on it for better compensation

I mean Plex definitely has a value add. Around here people will scoff but Plex is far easier to work with for non technical users.

If you shared your library externally Plex was definitely easier it’s just that they have started to extract value from that which does suck.
