In an ideal world it would free up Worker to better focus on their tasks.
It’s not that, but you know, in an ideal world…

I’m no financial wiz but the Wikipedia says they had half a billion in income on 2.2 billion revenue.

A lot of people working in finance were not alive when that movie was taking place and like the movie Wall Street the ones who watched it learned all the wrong lessons.

I know the media frames this poorly and someone at Microsoft wasn’t smart enough to dance around the subject but everyone wants their products to be addictive. The sugar industry, petrochemicals, beauty etc etc. They all want this.

The main issue as usual is US hegemony (or what’s left of it) has a way of fucking up the rest of the world. When that bubble pops it’s going to cause a whole bunch of industries trouble.
I’m sorry you’re not paid to think, you’re paid to hit enter when the LLM wants to do something sketchy and take the blame when it blows up in our face.

The Stasi would be envious of the modern Chinese states ability to monitor it’s population.
The US is a bit late to the party but they’re working hard to catch up.
I feel like the magic frosted glass usually turns frosted when the current is removed so hopefully it fails open.
I was just about to say I don’t see my 2003 iriver mp3 player…

Yeah, and the American electorate went " sure, makes sense "
Should have snuck an em dash in there if you really want to rile people up
Unfortunately the world doesn’t quite work like this comic.
Musk aside there are plenty of wealthy people who are very happy.

I mean it makes total sense the minute you think about it at all.
It’s the same with laws.
It’s very hard to get the electorate united to oppose something but if they manage to unite and oppose a bill the lobbyists are back at work on Monday pushing it by a different name.

People are fickle and difficult to control. If you can extract the knowledge from the meat sack so much the better.

I don’t think we should hang him but I do think we should hang his companies.
It would be more satisfying to me to see him have to start from the bottom.

I mean Plex definitely has a value add. Around here people will scoff but Plex is far easier to work with for non technical users.
If you shared your library externally Plex was definitely easier it’s just that they have started to extract value from that which does suck.

I’m not saying that at all.
I’m in a McDonald’s about twice a year usually because it’s the only option on a longer road trip.
Most of them have at most 1 cashier ( sometimes 0) and have the stand up tablet kiosks for ordering.
The drive through was primarily handled by a person with a head set who was also sometimes doing other things but I know a lot of fast food chains were farming that task out to call centers in cheaper locals, not sure about McD’s since I have not been through I drive through in a long long time.
