It’s from 1247 (first mention, might be even older).

I think if I am already being tortured I couldn’t care less about the sound of someone else eating.
I’ve seen clip of that financial advice show “The Ramsey show” on YouTube and the things that old man say are shocking to me. According to him I shouldn’t give a single cent to my parents…
A youtuber that is being a narcissistic, uncompassionated asshole? I’m shocked, shocked!
Well, not that shocked.
A solution to a self inflicted problem.
Haha, then I guess I have been on the internet for a long time.
I remember downloading mp3s with Kazaa and it would take all night, sometimes days. Downloading videos in the shittiest quality was a month long endevour. But that was way before that movie released. I actually don’t remember when I saw it the first time or how and where.
Another entry for me would be “Robin Hood (1973)”. I haven’t rewatched it in a long time, but as kids we (my brother and me) wanted to watch that movie over and over again. I’ve seen it more than ten times at least.
That one is probably up there for me when it comes to total watch time (and we combine all 3 movies).
I’ve seen all 3 in the theatric release initially and after that I’ve watched through the extended editions 2 times. That’s like 30h+ at least.
Are you trying to say I’m old?
It’s too late for me, but I wholeheartedly agree.
Probably “The Man from Earth”. Just such a good and well told story.
The Apothecary Diaries looks amazing.

Full Episode on the official channel. But it’s geoblocked in locations where it’s officially availible on paid sources. But you can watch it from France or the Czech Republic (just some examples I know of) with a VPN.
The main segment will be on the official channel (without geoblock) on thursday (I think).
What? I’m either misunderstanding you or this statement isn’t correct
I meant that no USB standard actually has exactly 1 Gbit/s. I even mention that next one if 5Gbit/s. Just a misunderstanding I think.
So you watched John Oliver last night?
No USB cable has “gigabit speed”. It probably has 480 Mbps (USB 2.0 standard).
Maybe he meant a 5 Gbps Gen1 cable. That would be “gigabit speed” but still rather slow by today’s standards and won’t support DP. They are pretty cheap these days, so wouldn’t be suprising to see left over stocks being sold as charging cables.
That sounds like a dedicated charging cable. So yeah, they will (if at all) only transfer data slowly and not support any extras features like displayport.
You won’t find these symbols on most devices though (certainly not on any macbook as the picture suggests).
Thanks for that!
To expand more on the meme side: It’s a notorious problem in spider communities that every brown spider will at some point be called a brown recluse by … less educated people. Which can lead to innocent spiders being killed just for their skin colour! Which is why there are usually rules that prohibit layman from identifying medically significant spiders.
The spider in the picture is a tarantula, so very obvious not a brown recluse. That’s the joke. It’s funny here, but seriously don’t make that joke on an actual spider community, none of the residents will think it’s funny.
Red spider mite is the common name for Tetranychus urticae. That’s quite the specific ID for such a terrible picture. I don’t think it’s correct, Trombidiidae seems more likely (and those are predators).
Diddy didn’t do it.
