Same. If I’m at home trying to sleep I will genuinely have a panic attack without it. It’s the only thing that strongly occupies my attention enough to prevent a panic attack from setting in (that I can do while in bed)
Anything else is not personally engaging enough to prevent my mind from wandering (like listening to music, browsing Lemmy, or reading)







What you mentioned was exactly what happened to me. I was literally a MINUTE walk from home and the button just WASNT doing anything, and the street was insanely busy. I was waiting for 30 MINUTES before I legit called my mom to drive like 300 feet to pick me up. It took 1 minute.
I was scarred from walking much ever since.
