I watched that when I was very very sick (I lost like 30lbs), and to this day I have no idea how much was just fever dreams vs actually a real tv show.

We started watching MST3K together when we first started dating, but you had to find them on YouTube. Then Netflix had them but the only have the reboot now (which we have finished).

I’ve discovered a trove of Rifftrax on Tubi which we’ve been watching lately, but classic MST3K is still my favourite.

I found this film some what derivative of “Rom in 60 Seconds”, but still worth watching!

There are plenty of good background episodes, but if it’s Measure of a Man, the Borg episodes, Q, or Vash, I know I’m not getting anything done.

I thought they wanted 8472 because they were immune to most weapons, had superior weapons to the borg, and had an extremely advanced immune system, to the point it broke down their nanites.

I don’t think either would win, the Borg would find them not worthy of assimilation and retreat or destroy whatever planets became infested with zerg.

You can’t add implants to every new hatched zergling, and they offer no technological distinction.

Overlords maybe can be assimilated, but it’s not clear if that assimilates their eggs.

The zerg would be difficult to assimilate though, they have such a short incubation period, and we know the Borg implants are added after birth. logistically it’s complicated to manage.

I don’t think they’d be worthy for assimilation as a whole either, as the underlings couldn’t’t meaningfully contribute to the Borg hive mind.

I agree a little, I like some of these, but I’m not a fan of the Keiko affair ones. They just don’t hit for me.

I don’t know, I remember when they chased the Enterprise they just kept hitting it with shots designed to dampen their shields, but they didn’t want to destroy the ship and kill Picard.

I’m not sure what the original commenter was thinking, but they have assimilated the Picard Manoeuvre and they could trivially kite the death star with it.

The Borg don’t have empathy or a worry about planets being destroyed, so the death star is not a compelling weapon against them.

Plus, the death star can only fire one beam and then had to recharge. During that time the Borg could assault the surface of the death star and their shield definitely would adapt to the short range canons.

It all comes down to whether the death star uses a force field to defend itself and how much power it can generate vs the borgs assault.
