Ads and background music. Ads seems to be a trajectory (second stage stopping videos that i only had marginal interest in when ads appear, third stage skipping over videos/channels that have developed an “ad-ick”), BGM is stranger… like they don’t test their videos with headphones or i can’t hear than talking over the music, or binaural beats make my head feel like it’s going to explode.

You’ve got the right idea with the permission change… the key is that you can have code executing on the remote side with different permissions. So the writer process has permission to write in one directory, and the turnsyle procees (often the root super-user) rotates the files or directories at a different time (or on a signal, sometimes).
