I don’t read my replies
If the AI wanted to talk me out of conspiracy theories, why don’t they use the brain signals to control us to thinking that way? Do the microwaves from the circuits behind the walls all go out of service all of a sudden?
This is just classic silicon valley trying to “innovate”, when their real plan was to muscle out CIA and FBI work to non-union contractors.
This whole dust up is between MTG, L. Graham, and Loomer is just jealous office politics. Apparently, Loomer is on the rise while the former two are in decline around Trump’s orbit.
Now I won’t deny it’s fun to see the MTG and Graham beaten at their own game. But the only value to this story is knowing that there is chaos and backbiting in his inner circle.
Ever notice how apologists for Zionism are all terrified at what would happen if Palestinians had authority and power because they assume Palestinians will be as brutal and criminal as the Zionists?
What if they caused Israelis to become refugees? What if they did terror attacks to convince Israelis to leave? What if they passed racist laws that discriminated where a Jew could work, live, and move? Maybe they’ll subjugate Israel’s people to military justice and deny them rights and citizenship?
Yea, all of that would be horrible and fucking wrong and I would support an embargo on weapons to this hypothetical Palestinian government.
currently claim to be libertarian are actually extremely socially conservative
(in America) 90% of libertarians are Republicans who smoke weed and skip church. The other ten percent are lunatics who actually want a limited government with strong personal freedoms (for the powerful) because they believe they’ll be the lords in the new feudalism.
Building an electric motor and powerful battery was the easy bit. To this day, it remains a mystery how he sourced the 10,000 plastic clips that hold a Tesla together.
I watched a video yesterday about the laser range finder on a tank. The interesting thing is that at long enough ranges, the laser expands into a cone that may be bigger than the target and give inaccurate readings.
Anyway, I look forward to this totally real and feasible technology.
As a consumer and a low skilled worker I think the solution to call the rich “dinner”.
I find the author’s reasoning strained. They use flat Earthers as an example of the power of photographs to “prove” reality?
I question the central premise that photographs were ever the foundation of reality. Haven’t filmmakers been fooling us with photography for over a hundred years?
If you’re a person who prefers to type commands than click through menus then you should try the “run” program in the “powertoys” suite from Microsoft.
It a launcher program that’s superior to Start in every way. You can type in plain English system commands like “shutdown”; a search that actually works; you can pass queries into your browser’s search engine; and of course launch programs by typing in their names. You can even enter entire registry addresses to open regedit at the desired location.
This is a complete replacement for the Start Menu.
In that case I refer you to u/catloaf 's post. A machine cannot grock, not at any speed.
I just want to remind everyone that capital won’t wait until AI is “as good” as humans, just when it’s minimally viable.
They didn’t wait for self-checkout to be as good as a cashier; They didn’t wait for chat-bots to be as good as human support; and they won’t wait for AI to be as good as programmers.
“Identity theft” is bullshit. They didn’t steal an identity, they stole credentials. But even though those credentials were created and maintained outside of our consent, control, and often contrary to our interests, somehow we’re responsible when they get stolen.
Mr. Musk, on a scale of 1-10, how tempted are you to build a bunker in Berlin?
I read the abstract, and the connection to your title is a mystery. Are you using “grock” as in “transcendental understanding” or as Musk’s branded AI?
So they do the minimum required by law?
Microsoft flamed out of the mobile OS space precisely because they insisted that Windows not fork, but be identical software running on all devices.
So now, there is no such thing as a windows phone, but every time I wake up my computer I see a vestigial lock screen that I have to dismiss before I log in.
They designed their phones like a company entitled to 85% of the market share. Something tells me they’re not going to reform just to capture that mobile game space.
We should be using AI to pump the web with nonsense content that later AI will be trained on as an act of sabotage. I understand this is happening organically; that’s great and will make it impossible to just filter out AI content and still get the amount of data they need.
MMW: Google plans to make Chrome a locked down browser for a proprietary web. But this is only the intermediate step before all web services will be accessed via an app. The commercial web and the public web will hard fork and the kids will never know what a “browser” is.
This is like the lover who says “wouldn’t it be crazy if you and me had a threesome with your best friend”? Then claims not to be serious when the idea is rejected.
So they just broadcast the messages from all the towers in the network? In plain text I hope.
