I blame him for MacBook unibody design that made whole generations of mbooks gone way too soon because of heat stress. But shiny metal pretty!
I blame him for the whole butterly keyboard fiasco that made me stop using MBooks.
I don’t blame him for smartphones because I don’t think he invented those.
Asahi linux. AFAIK Linus Tovalds still uses Macs - he has done so at least since the Intel era. I am co nsidering buying one as first a sort of low power gaming console (on MacOs) and eventually as an efficient yet powerfull home server…

From what i gather about these “Know Your Customer” systems, they take the photo of your ID, check if it is realistic enough and then check the picture on your ID (bad as it is) against your authentic photo made through the app. Verification against 3rd party API confirming existence of such ID while welcome / preferred seems to be optional (doesn’t work for all IDs - there may be technical/ legal barriers).
So the vulnerability has probably always been there, still is (?!?), for a sweet moment in time it was just more easy to exploit?
