Yes. Yes we did.
Some of the most “liberal” decisions were voted for by judges that “conservatives” put on the bench thinking they would rubber stamp hate and racism.

Those judges were the product of a Senate that kept guys like Bork, Carswell, and Hayworth. The Warren and Burger Courts weren’t an accident. They came about through progressive Congressmen gatekeeping the bench against bigots and reactionaries.
Once neoliberals like Joe Biden and Dianne Feinstein opened the door for Thomas, Scalia, Roberts, and Alito, the court was yanked rightward.
Wild that the Supreme Court effectively said “Needing to rob the people of more votes is acceptable, because
racial gerrymanderingit’s an emergency.” Justice isn’t just dead at this point, the top courts are shitting on its grave and complaining that we don’t like it.
