    Fertility rates can’t be above replacement level.

    Common sense dictates that exponential growth in a finite world cannot sustain.

    Still we need a slower decline to protect future generations from collapsing systems.

    Ever article I see about lower fertility rate talks about how this will change the economic model. I always end up saying “good”. I get social security won’t work and that someone (us) will have to pay for it. But that’s true for so many things already where payments were deferred until now anyhow.

    I feel like there’s more fear about this for billionaires and economists than regular people.
