Lore is still frightening after all these years, he lies with ease and can tear your arms off for lulz. He reminds me of something from the Culture series. Maybe one of the less stable Minds?

He is smarter than people, has perfect emotional control, and a complete psychopathic detachment from anybody’s else well being. And yes, he’s more physically capable than people in every way.

I guess the reason he isn’t used very much on the series is because otherwise the authors would have to let him destroy the Federation,

I don’t think Lore was really all that scary as an antagonist. He might have been a psychopath with superhuman speed, strength, and intelligence, but he was also profoundly lazy and had almost no motivation to improve himself or accomplish anything beyond his immediate impulses. He took the short easy path at every opportunity, so if he even conceived of a grand plan to destroy the federation it would be opportunistic at best, and likely fail due to lack of adequate forethought.

Right, or he could disable Data, lock out navigation controls and take control of a ship. Then he just shows up wherever and rips everyone’s arms off until they give him a replacement for his father’s love.

I just watched Decent (part1&2) last night about Lore controlling the Borg and Data. He’s proper scary there.
