    The fuck is one going to do with “standard reference” peanut butter? Is that a common need?

      It’s for calibrating machines that measure peanut butter quality. This is a verified “pure” reference product to ensure machines are measuring accurately. The nist sells a bunch of various reference grade products. Veritasium made a great video on the subject: https://youtu.be/esQyYGezS7c

        That actually makes a lot of sense, I never thought about there being a machine to measure peanut butter quality.

        Ingredients, I’d expect to have standard, reference Ingredients…but peanut butter being a mixture, it just surprises me, like how they decided on which recipe?
