Deep South Democrats, largely absent from statewide offices, are aiming for a comeback this year. They are seeking to mobilize Black voters who are angered about the Republican moves to dismantle minority congressional districts, as well as voters who are frustrated with high gas prices, the Iran war, data centers and other issues.

    I really hope Talarico can show a winning strategy for southern dems. They love their religion here and him showing the world that the bible he studies (and the one I was brainwashed on growing up) is so far removed from modern American Conservative Christianity that the GOP is not the default party for Jesus freaks.

    And also that he’s not a fraud of course.

    Can the Midwest hope for any change? Tired of living in a state where people elect conservatives, but vote in favor of left leaning policies only to put on the shocked Pikachu face when the conservatives deny it.
