    Yep, they robbed people’s artwork, open source software that was GPL, open source software that had even less permissive licensing, and people are surprised they literally also stole data through pirating too?

    Information should be free. If they’re going to do that shit, we should just force them to open source their models. It’s built on the backs of people who they’re trying to replace right now, and it’s fucking disgusting.

    I used to love the machine learning field but now it just grosses me out that they went this direction. It’s even being used in fucking missiles… It’s unethical to be working in that field in this environment.

    I’m starting to think it’s unethical to even be working in the US in general right now, the way shit is going. We’re destroying the fucking environment by working under people who promote new data centers being built.

      That’s one of the reason that prompted me to leave the country in 2002, when it started down the path of fascism in earnest with Dubya’s USA Patriot Act.
