    I mean there is a segment of consumers like myself that simply won’t buy things we don’t like. I doubt though we are a significant amount of the populace but its possible that segment is growing.

    They still sell them. They don’t have a tuner, but have HDMI inputs. They’re called commercial displays, and sold for use in businesses (if you ever see a TV-like panel on a wall displaying information/ads/camera footage, that’s one). They’d cost more than a TV, as the manufacturer doesn’t get kickbacks from the adtech companies in return for funnelling your data to them.
