Ugh. I’ve seen multiple outsourced systems with the same copypasta password ‘encryption’. In quotation marks because it was basically an ASCII flip based on the position of the character. Client was surprised I didn’t need to require user re-registration when I was tasked to replace these systems.

Now THOSE developers will be replaced. Abd the industry will be better for it. The good ones though, not so much.
