    Jesus Fucking Christ.

Y’all, remember when people freaked out over Mozilla changing their TOU (but not their Privacy Policy)? This bill is the pro-corporate, ultracapitalist, “hold my beer” version of that change, and it could be enshrined into law.

If you live in California, call your state reps (i.e. don’t just email or write a letter). Tell them to vote no on this blatant privacy violation.

ETA: this is a bipartisan bill. If you have a Democratic rep, don’t just assume they’ll vote against it. Call them, too!

As a reminder, California might be more liberal than many other states, but it also has 10% of the entire US population.

While 9.2 million CA voters for Kamala, 6 million voted for Fascist 47.

More people voted for Fascist 47 in CA than there are people in 31 different states. So yeah, CA is blue, but it’s also insanely red, too.

California was 58.47% Dem to 38.33% Rep.

Only District of Columbia (90.28% to 6.47%), Maryland (62.62% to 34.08%), Massachusetts (61.22% to 36.02%), Hawaii (60.59% to 37.48%), and Vermont (63.83% to 32.32%) did better percentage wise.

California is still in the top 5 of the most Democratic states, even beating out New York (55.91% to 43.31%), Washington State (57.23% to 39.01%), and Illinois (54.37% to 43.47%).

If you look at the percentages, a lot of people voted for Trump everywhere. You can’t just single out California for this.

Please use this website to find your california senator and assemblymember: https://findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov/ From there, you can click the links to their individual webpages. Scroll to the bottom or click on “contact me” to find their phone #s.

Also contact the office of Governor Newsom at 916-445-2841

Its easy to call! You just get some intern on the phone or their voice mailbox. You say something like, “Hi, my name is whatever, I’m calling from wherever, I want to encourage [politicians name] to oppose Senate bill 690, the corporate cover up act. Please protect my privacy.” And then they say, “OK, how do you spell your last name? Thanks for calling”

Its not hard to do. The government feels crazier than ever. Make your voice heard!

Once you’ve done this, you’ll realize that it’s also easy to call your congress and house of rep members to encourage them to oppose attacking Iran.
