Personally I think the ZenPhone 9 series looked very sleek and cool - especially the in red colour choice. zenhphne9

I know it isnt the same form factor but the Titan 2 is coming soon with pre-production units being sent out to people already and estimated release in October.

I had the original titan and will probably get this to try it out but that also means a Titan Slim 2 is a possibility at some point. The key2 that the slim copies is the best phone I ever owned I think!

Yeah. I saw. It’s a potential hopeful that a Slim 2 is on the way. This would make my year. Given the success of this lineup, I feel positive about them following through. But it also means a Pocket 2 before a Slim 2 so we are going to wait for awhile.

I agree. I realise it is a niche market, keyboard phones, but there are still people out there that want them and they seem to be hooking into that market.

Their software isnt the best but I’m hoping in time it will become more refined along with the keyboards getting better with each iteration. BlackBerry had a lot more practice by the time of the passport and key devices so here’s hoping at least one company will fill that gap left behind.

There is a solid Lineage (build) that is floating around that is regularly updated. Been too lazy to do up my phone but now I have incentive.

I know there were a few custom ROMs that took advantage of some of the blackberry apps n such for the original Titan series of phones but j could never get the boot loader to unlock on my original titan so I was always stuck with what they supplied which was fairly lacklustre and was what ultimately pushed me away from the phone.

Well, if you ever fancy another go, there is a Discord community that helps with such situations. That is how I am planning on de-Googling, once I stop being lazy.

The discord community is where I was getting all my information from. I’m sure it has moved on a bit now as this was a few years ago and whilst I do still have the phone I’ll probably wait to get the new one and then I’ll play around.

Ive been running graphene the last 3 years now and I don’t want to go back to google so once I get the titan 2 I’m going to try my best to get some form of Linux going on it. I fucking hate this touchscreen though so I can’t wait!

I sadly had to retire my Key2, easily the nicest phone I’ve owned since 1994.

I bought the Titan but returned it for being so underpowered in comparison. Is the Titan Slim2 going to improve on that?

Same, I replaced the screen 3 times and the battery once before my keytwo finally gave in and I had to admit defeat.

There is no titan slim 2 yet, just the regular titan which is like a BB passport in form factor but chunkier, I’m just speculating that if they are continuing the line hopefully there will be a new slim in the future.

The few pre release reviews I have watched regarding the titan 2 say that the it is snappy and nice to use with a considerable improvement over the old one but it is still a $300 phone so it isnt going to be top of the range power able to run all the most taxing games. Really though the kinds of people this phone is aimed at aren’t the type to be as worried about that and with a 1:1 ratio screen a lot of games and such would probably be painful to play.

I suggest you check out a couple of videos if you are interested because I don’t really know the in depth details because I don’t really care about the processor etc as long as it runs the phone at an acceptable rate, I’m in it for the keyboard :D
