The man entered a room as his wife was having a scan on her knee, according to local media.

Gotta be a contender for a Darwin award.

He definitely knew. He’s just brain dead. Well, he’s all dead now, but he was already brain dead.

What the fuck is this article? It reads like a fever dream. I have no idea why this 61 year old man was wearing a 9kg “weight training” necklace to the hospital and walking into random rooms. Everything about this situation is bizare

She said he was wearing a 20lb (9kg) chain with a lock that he used for weight training.

Ok, I need to know what in the world this story is.

And if it’s MRI related, I’d say they’re equally stupid. There are signs on every door, besides how can one not know about MRI’s today.

I’m also confused about this story (the chain and lock guy) - wouldn’t he have to be within 2 or 3 feet for it to have that much strength? It’s an EM field, inverse-square law applies, right? I’ve had MRI’s, any steel even 10ft away is unaffected.
