It is a thing. At least in the US, it’s even codified. People constantly pretending it’s not a thing and not reprimanding or punishing those who abuse it is turning it into not a thing unfortunately. Shits gotten so bad our head of DoJ and the turdlord president himself declare people “guilty” without punishment, trial, or evidence.
