    That he published after he was no longer serving as the Chairman of the Joint Chief’s of Staff. The US military is known for being apolitical. This is him selling a book as former CJCS Mark Milley, and not CJCS GEN Milley.

    Hard to paint his actions as morally good when he’s doing it to make a profit. Alex Vindman, for example, opposed Trump despite the personal cost for him. Miley doesn’t get points for that.

    Edit: It’s Bob Woodward’s book, not Milley’s.

    Also when a former-President and possible-future-President is an outright fascist, “being apolitical” is a great way to defend marching citizens to camps. After all, opposing a direct order from the President might be seen as “political.”

      The retired general who said this isn’t making a profit; Bob Woodward, the journalist, is the one selling the book, not the general.
