He’s a billionaire, but his actions over the course of his tenure as Illinois governor have backed up his progressive policy stances.

In a hypothetical situation where he’s on stage talking to the masses, I’d still have the guillotine sharpened and in his periphery but he has earned at least some good will in his political actions. No one else was offering these Texas lawmakers a place to stay.

      his progressive policy stances.

This is the danger of treating politics like everything is a simple left/right axis…

      He’s not on our side.

And his family’s company that made him a billionaire is obviously not on our side:

      https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/such-symbols-are-abhorrent-hyatt-fires-back-at-criticism-after-cpac-stage-compared-to-nazi-symbol/

They claimed they didn’t know it would be full of Nazis, but it’s fucking cpac in 2021, obviously there was going to be Nazi shit there.

      I mean, for fucks sake:

Pritzker, a billionaire and cousin to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, was named by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre as one of the men she was forced to have sexual encounters with, igniting public backlash.

      https://www.newsweek.com/hyatt-hotels-tom-pritzker-epstein-scandal-boycott-calls-1857968

What does it take for people to realize there’s no good billionaire?

      Edit:

      Seriously.

Disclosing where they were staying literally endangered their lives. This was a bomb threat, it could have been a bomb

But he’s more concerned with recovering his stock price and putting himself in position to block a dem progressive in the next primary

Billionaires are not, and will never be, on our side.

If they truly were, they wouldn’t still be billionaires.

No one else was offering these Texas lawmakers a place to stay.

      Publicly.

No one was publicly announcing where they could be put up, because that is stupid.

That doesn’t mean no one else reached out, just that their motivation wasn’t the good will and press coverage.

      Pritzker tho…

He was willing to endanger their lives for the personal opinion bump.

So far your evidence is all circumstantial stuff related to his family, not anything he himself actually did. Disclosing the location of the hotel was stupid, but not necessarily malicious. Like, I wouldn’t convict a cat based on any of this.

If they truly were, they wouldn’t still be billionaires.

        Because?

Because you cannot become a billionaire without hurting or ruining the lives of others. People really have a hard time comprehending just how much a billion dollars is, and just how much more it is than any one person should be allowed to hold on their own.

Put it this way: if every billionaire suddenly evaporated, do you think anyone would be worse off?
