I mean… In a way, good? The “AI” bubble has to burst eventually, sooner would be better than later

It’s almost funny watching the USA trying to remain a world leader while cutting its investments in absolutely everything: healthcare, education, energy generation and distribution, welfare, science, roads, electricity, railways, air traffic control, sanitation, everything that’s needed for a basic quality of life and to be even running in the same race as other countries. The USA seems to think it can get by with just the police and military. It won’t work.

We are world leaders in per capita production of clowns, social murder, chronic disease, and climate collapse.

It does seem like the main goal is to plunder what’s left before it all crashes hard, and to be a member of the owner class that can parse a crash for everyone else into more wealth and power for yourself.

but the PROFITS! Those billionaires are more globalized than ever.

American labor gets paid too much for the ownership taste. They want to pay everybody like call center workers in the caribbean or tech workers in india. Or really… they don’t want to pay anyone absolutely anything. they’d gladly pay 100% of current wages to have AI do the work, after all, there’s no payroll tax, no yearly increases for healthcare, and you get to put the hardware costs on the books as an asset and write off the depreciation each year.

Bourgeois capture of the imperial money chest always ends like this. Can’t make policy changes on the Bourgeois, they’ll fuck off with the money they stole. Can’t afford the infrastructure to remain competitive, that would require the money the Bourgeois has. All that’s left is to blame increasingly smaller outgroups until the whole thing implodes and some new empire stands on the heap.

    • US government wants more AI/data centres
    • US government doesn’t want more renewable energy
    • US government wants expensive oil, gas and coal plants to keep running or get built
    • US government give no shits about water conservation or anything else environment related
    • US government raises taxes on any international inputs to domestic production, putting domestic industry at disadvantage
    • US government cuts education, climate response and health funding for future labour resilience

This is definitely a strategy that will pan out for the US…

Friendly reminder, the US people, in majority, are not, in fact, the US. No one asked me my opinion about shit. I didn’t vote on any of this. Please be sure to separate the two. We, the majority, don’t want these failures. We do not vote, we pick shit teams we are also not members of.
