    Yeah at this point it’s a place to keep my resume and certs and for correctional staffing agencies to semi-regularly offer me a lot of money to join the prison industrial complex. It’ll probably be the only place my experience is applicable when the mental health system finally fails for goodsies. I thought about ACT once upon a time but tbh I like more acuity and somehow at the same time can’t handle the idea that one of my patients could have a gun (kind of related; I like being able to be nice to very sick people but you need a very controlled environment to do it safely). And that’s assuming ACT is even still a thing at the end of all this. My coworkers are already talking about how much the detention centers are offering but then will mention (in the same conversation), that as black women, they hate driving through that part of the state. This is the worst timeline.
