Gov. Gavin Newsom signed California's new redistricting plan that could slash five Republican-held House seats to counter Texas' mid-decade redraw of its congressional map.

Edit: Title updated. It has officially passed both the state assembly and the senate. It’s officially going to be on the California ballot in November.

Whenever I want to rip my hair out because of my country’s politics I look over there and don’t feel better but at least I remember it could be worse.

No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
