Hi everybody, I got a used laptop for cheap but the former owner kept the SSD. So I’m searching for a new drive.
I don’t have any specific requirements otherwise since the device is just for office/browsing/streaming/etc

Edit: I’m currently looking into Gigabyte Gen4 4000E, Acer FA100 or Intenso MI500.

For office/browsing/streaming I doubt you’d even feel a difference between pcie3 and pcie4 m.2 nvmes. I’d go solely for price in that equation, unless you need abnormally high tbw for some reason.

I will do quiet a lot of downloads with it but most of them will be < 100 GB so I’m gonna be fine with an average TBW.
Since there wasn’t a difference between gen3 and 4 in my region, I settled with a Kingston NV3 as it was the most performative on the lower end of the price spectrum.

If you can get a good deal on a gen3 might be worth it. They are backwards compatible and perhaps you could use the difference to buy a game.
