The majority of people are not getting that riled up about it even if they care. You are underestimating how bad the cognitive dissonance is in the country.
As long as business continues as usual, most people are not engaged in politics, they are just watching to see what happens. Trump isn’t going to face any repercussions about it, he’s literally the most powerful person on Earth and can make the whole thing go away legally, as he has done.
Trump didn’t get elected despite being a rapist, he was elected because of it, because people wanted a villain on the stage because our country’s brains are fried with Kayfabe/WWE spectacle and rather “see what happens” than make responsible electoral decisions.
All that aside, the national guard being used by Trump to militarize and occupy cities is a much more clear and present danger to democracy and we’re STILL not getting up and marching as a country, so do you REALLY think people are going to hold his feet to the fire over an intangible, word-of-mouth crime that isn’t going to amount to anything dramatic?
