Agreed, but it’s also great that an option opened up. Gaggiuno was never FOSS, just source available, and basically built up a following before shutting source code availability down.
While Gaggimate isn’t FOSS in the fullest sense, they do use a CC license (to stop commercial use) with no personal restrictions at https://github.com/jniebuhr/gaggimate
Yup! Was so happy when a FOSS Gagguino alternative popped up. Gotta finish building the printer and then on to that.

I would not recommend the Gaggiuno. It is now closed source. Instead, I would recommend the Gaggimate, which is open source.
