I’d wager it’s the same type of people as it was in the 1970’s when oil companies knew about climate change and were denying it as well as cigarette companies knew about the links between their products and various cancers and were also denying it.
In short: People willing to sell out the future for their own gain now.
They’re no different than drug pushers on the street who don’t care who overdoses on their drugs as long as they get their bag.
