You’re literally describing the United States post-9/11, the only difference is that they’ve gone mask off. The military junta would not be a better set of circumstances. It would be exactly like right now only more extreme, considering all of the top military brass is also a bunch of christofascists
I think it can and will become really more extreme as soon as all the peon are in place. Think automatic drone kill in US city, target choosen by an AI when you write or say anything they don’t like a really automatic killing factory and i’m not from the US but they will come for us up north when everything they consider “left” fall.
And yes i know most military brass are fascist too but i do hope (naively i guess ) that some of them still love the USA enough to fight for it
