Four panel cartoon by Nathan W. Pyle with two bald eagles sitting in easy chairs. One is reading a newspaper while the other sips tea.
Tea-sipper: Do you think the Owl is a predator?
Reader: Of course not. He’s never bothered me.
Tea-sipper: Exactly. (Pauses to sip tea) I don’t know what Mr. Mouse was going on about.
I feel this comic would land better if the conversation was happening between a different prey animal but not one that is preyed on by owls. A deer for example.
Eagles are also predators that would eat a mouse - so it doesn’t make a lot of sense in my mind, just my opinion though.
Had the same thought here.
Very interesting though, to see him do something other than Strange Planet for once!
Growing up in a white, blue collar (mostly Democrat) family, I’m ashamed to say that I’ve seen this bullshit first hand. Sometimes overtly. Even after marrying in to an upper middle class white collar (mostly Democrat) family, I’m ashamed to say that I’ve continued to see this bullshit first hand. It’s just more subtle now.
I can’t change people’s minds, but at least I won’t raise my kids this way. Absolutely not.
First they came for the mice, but I did not speak up, for I was not a mouse.
Everyone shows different faces in different company.
Everyone is a predator in some way.
Cookies say bad things about the cookie monster. And so does Elmo. But thats only because Cookie Monster tickles Elmos no-no spot!
Big oof.
Is there a Bert strips community in the fediverse?
